So I'm gonna try a DSB for the first time.. I bought 160 lbs. of sand from MarcoRocks for my 72g.. That should give me about 4" of sand.. Any suggestions would be great.. Can't wait to get this tank up and cycling..

Are you looking for suggestions on cycling or the DSB?

What kind of sand stirrers are you going to buy? Bristleworms and Nassarius snails are great for overall bioturbation. You might want to consider Cerith snails to keep the glass clean where the sand touches it.

Perfect.. I will add them to the clean-up crew list... I was planning on having some wrasse's and a jawfish so I figured a DSB was the way to go... Reef Cleaners here I come! lol

rinse, rinse, and rinse the sand again..
I have 160lb of marco rocks sand in my 180 and it is really FINE.. dust fine.. also, wait until it grows some algae over it or clumps to turn on the powerheads, the sand moves alot... oh, and put the rocks all the way to the bottom of the glass... I did all this and while I was adding water, the sand was washing away from under the rocks like a sand trap, luckily I had pushed the rocks all the way down to the glass
