Hi all just wondering what you guys think.
I dont have an over flow on my 90g tank i use a hang on protien filter and a hang on mech. filter as well as a canister filter. now in order to make a refug what will i have to do? could i just use an aquaclear 110 hung on with lighting for a fug. or is there another way?

I'd do one of two things.
    1. Take the tank down temporarily and have it drilled for overflows and standpipes. Then put the protein skimmer in a sump under your tank and add a fuge under there.
    2. Do the same with an under-tank sump and fuge, but use an overflow box on the back of your tank. The downfall here is the overflows could clog and are the less reliable option here.

I agree with Bogie if that option is open to you. If not, depending on your GPH rate on your current OFB(overflow box) you might want to up grade to a higher GHP OFB. They do sell a double OFB, as pictured below, that could help you in your question.

You could have one outlet directed to the sump and the other to a refugium. Just a thought. Luna
