    Thanks. Couldn't I put a check valve on the upper part of the intake from DT to sump also, to have as an emerg. shut off?

    Yes, but they tend to get stuck open by snails and other critters.

    Canopy is painted and I will install the lighting this weekend after transferring all the critters from the 26. 80 gallons of water is mixed and being warmed up.

    Transfer complete

    I have finally completed the transfer from my 26 to the 75 including installing the lights in the canopy. I spent 13 hours yesterday that netted my everything transferred between tanks. This morning I completed securing everything that I wanted, still have a wee bit more to do here. Broke down my light fixture and installed it in the canopy. Another 8 hours spent. All that is left is completing the refugium. and any improvements that come to mind. Then more improvements, etc, etc.::)

    Also found a temporary solution to the overflow volume issue.
