I really haven't decided since you mentioned let them spread at the surface. I was thinking frag the tips, but now I am intrigued to see what happens when they reach the surface.

I forgot to mention that the corals seem to be growing faster since the light move also.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I imagine since neither is a tabling acropora, they will probably start shooting off more branches. I have seen images of when the Formosa hits the surface and the tips get fragged it grows almost plating out at the tips. It looks a little strange in appearance to me. The Cali will probably just get bushier in appearance, heart braking I know, lol.

LOL, I think I will wait and see what happens. If I don't like it then I can frag them.

seem interesting but i wouldnt know where to start. I could always investigate with google... but i want the easy way out and thoes T5 bulbs with timers and moonlight really attract my attention! I'm not sure what the best thing to do right now is.... none of the stores i go to have 30" ones that fit my tank. And i cant find any good ones online.... i guess i'm playing the patience game until i find one =)

It's being asked in the 90 gal forum, but people are wondering what you run as a retun pump in reference to your sump flow comments?

I run a Rio 8HF. It runs at 270gph at 4ft head. My sump holds about 30 gallons.
