I am using 5X54W T5HO with 97% effective reflectors and ATI bulbs. All of my rics are mounted under ledges or vertically. Rics are found growing vertically about 98% of the time from what I read. I melted mine when they were kept horizontal. Yumas are specially sensitive they need to be placed in full shade to start.

 

love the tank man. just beautiful. didnt know that about rics, guess that explais why mine are always detatching and floating to cracks...

keeps up the good work, your tank is my inspiration =)

 

Thanks, I didn't know that either until I have a few melt and detatch. Did some extra research and finally found the info. I haven't had problems with any that have shipped and arrived healthy since.

I still pretty dumb about all corals, But I cant seem to find this particular one, Im sure Im not looking right, But is there a full name for that one?
