Just giving everything a chance to acclimate to light, they haven't had any since Friday. Plus I am worried about dinos, so I am keeping the lighting to a minimum for a while. Pics should be a lot easier with straight on shots instead of dealing with the curve of the bowfront. Thanks

Thanks, looks like I might lose one of the corals , it is STN right now. I think it occurred when I was cutting the plug base off. I am hoping it will survive.

Nice upgrade...Like the temporary fix....there's thinking outside the box (the toolbox that is) LOL.
Like the idea for holding the rocks off the glass so they aren't then burryed by the sand.

I had seen keeping the rocks off the sand before, wish it had been before I started the first tank, and decided to do it when I moved some rock and had black sand attached to it.

    Proper flow control on return.

Well I replaced the vise-grips with a ball valve today. Will put a valve in the other side when I get the fuge running.

I am seriously considering changing the overflow pipes to 1 1/2" PVC hoping to help increase the sheeting action on the inside of the pipes. I think I will use 45* elbows and drill lots of 1/4" holes in the input pipes under the water level.

I was gonna cut strups of acrylic and stack them up to the right level and adhere it to the rock but the way you did it seem like a lot less work.

I just used a chop saw to cut them to size. I am going to take the 3 sets on the right side and lay them flat also. I used 1 1/4" PVC. The site I saw this on recommended 2". If you are going to stand them on end I think that is a good idea. I thought my sand bed was going to be deeper than that.

Thats looking really good. I really like the mounts your LR is sitting. Thats a killer idea and will make setting up your flow so much easier. I should have done that.
