I've got a small tank with a HOB Aquafuge. I'm looking/wanting to set up some sort of ATO. Space is very limited. I have enough room on 1 side of the tank for a 5g bucket and that's it :( I am looking at the jbj ato system. I'm looking for anyone with experience with this product. Also I know next to nothing as to how to set it up. Aside form the jbj ato system what else would I need. Thanks in advance for any and all help :)

I have the JBJ ATO, and I like it. That being said, I will say that the snail guards aren't the greatest, and I have had snails get in and make it stuck on (always been home to catch it when it's happening). So I'd suggest either only filling your bucket up with what your tank can handle without overflowing. I also believe you can set it up where one float is like a fail safe float.

Apart from the system, you'd just need the bucket, pump, and tubing. Also, without a sump, you'd have to figure out a way to get the tubing to stay in place (I ended up gluing a small peice of black pipe into the corner of my tank above the waterline that I run the tubing from my pump into. Works even better than I anticipated

I looked at the JBJ ATO. I decided to go with the avast marine ATO and a eHeim pump. My 55g refugium will have a 5.6G ATO tank as one of the separate sections with the fuge, skimmer, and return.

I have two of them and they both work like a charm. If you decide to buy BRS usually has the cheapest price on them and they ship fast. If you do buy one you will be happy with it.

I also have the JBJ and it works wonders. Best part about the JBJ is there is a pump timer. Not a lot of people think about their ATO failing and killing all of their fish.

yup, mine works great. I initially had it set up with the aqualifter but it didn't work reliably so I switched it out with a maxijet and it works perfectly.

It comes with two floats, if you turn the other one around it will serve as an emergency shut off if the water height gets too high so you don't have to worry about the system failing.

I would look on the for sale boards on here and other reef sites. People are constantly selling them for cheap. I got mine halfprice at nano-reef.com and I love it.

I have two, one running for over 2 years. Love em both and have very little trouble with them.
