    oceanic--I like the higher mg and ca mg-1300 ca-460 tested at 1.024 before water change.

    Reef Crystal....

    I keep about 20 gallons of salt water made up at any one time...I have heaters and powerheads in each...i also keep 40 gallons of RO/DI water at anytime...We have quite a few tanks around here and you never know what might happen or when you may need it....

    what salt brand closely matches the water params that we use in reeftanks? i currently use reef crystals but i always have to add extra mag to bring it up to at least 1350

    Trop Marin Pro reef but I still do a 2 part Cal and Alk every night and add kalk to my top off water

    Yeah I wait 24hr before using.

    Yes i always have 30gals in a bucket w/heater+pump.

    Sometimes I have to salt my top off water, I lose so much salt in a month it's crazy!

    I just picked up Instant Ocean Reef Crystals but thats what I have been using but no complaints really

    I use Red Sea...
    About a year and a half ago I tested most of the common salt for the major three, kH, Ca, and Mg.... My results were similar to billybeau's on RC...except the AGA salts, such as Kent, Oceanic and Coralife read higher in my tests than his.

    I suppose I should dig up my numbers and post them! ;)

    started with reef crystals then changed to red sea coral pro salt then went back to IO reef crystals
