    Lets be civil here.
I have used AquaClear powerheads in the past and while they worked good they were quite large and cumbersome, especially in smaller tanks. They are similar to the MaxiJets and Penguins in that they produce a narrow blast of water where the newer propeller type powerheads such as Tunze, EcoTech, Koralia and Seio produce a wide dispersed flow. They also draw less power, create less heat and put out much more water than the old styles. There are modifications that can be done, mostly for MJ 900 and 1200 powerheads but i have not been happy with any of them so far, they all vibrated, were huge or fell off the glass.

I have a 16G bowfont nano with an AquaClear 500 hang on back modified into a refugium and a small Rio 180 and Koralia K1 in the back corners. I am really disappointed in the K1 flow, its very weak even in a 16G full of softies and an anemone. On the other hand I use a K3 in a 20G QT tank and its quite nice as well as 2 K4s in my 100G display which again perform quite well. Overall I like the Koralias with the exception of the K1 and have not tried a K nano since the K1 was too weak to begin with.
