I have a 20l and 2 aquaclear 20 powerheads should i keep these closer to the suface to kinda disrupt the surface of the water or lower. Whats the best way to direct to have low amounts of dead spots

They will most likely do the best job with one on each end of the tank angled in so flow converges at the center of the front glass.

Surface agitation is always a good idea to enhance gas exchange and help keep temps down.

Every tank is unique. A lot depends on coral placement and if they're happy with the flow situation.

The filter output can be used to direct that flow where you want it. It will not put out near as much flow as your Koralia though. I would add a second K1 to your tank that should make it easier to kill those dead spots.

K1s do not produce much flow, i would use at least a K2. Also, it is always better to have several smaller powerheads that one large one. Flow is really up to the individual tank. I would not rely on the output of a filter/return as flow though, that amount is really negligible. (unless you have a serious return pump)

I would go with at least two K1s, but I dont' know much the aqua clear 20s produce flow wise.

You should probably start your own thread as it gets confusing have two people asking questions on one thread, but I would go with 2 K1s.
