Is This Xenia Dead?

it fell down off the LR while I was away and I think the hermits must have munched on it http://www.3reef.com/forums/images/smilies/angry.gif i moved it off the sandbed but all the flower thingys are gone and its just the stalk. the GSP in the tank seems fine so I don't think its the params.

I would say 9/10 times it will grow back. That stuff is damn near impossible to kill

No, it isn't quite dead. When soft crals die they end up "diappearing" from melting away. Xenia is very hardy. I think if you place it back where it previously was it will come back.

 

That's a xenia? It looks more like some sort of leather? die leather at that

 

even if it was a leather alot of them as long as the main stalk is in tack will grow back after a catastrophic event like this.
