    Is it ok to use well water instead of RO/DI water? And if its not ok, why?

    No. because it comes straight from the ground vs water that has been filtered.. think about it..

    it can contain metals and other unwanted chemicals. I got my RO/DI system from Bulk Reef Supply, and Spectrapure is having a deal on theirs. I would do further research into them, watch videos and such. or you can go to your LFS and probably buy RODI water from them.

    No.
    The reason well water usually tastes so good is it is high in minerals, not devoid of them like a RO/DI provides. Its the complete opposite.
