I am not an expert but from my reading here in the forums if it is too concentrated then it will not dissolve properly and certain thigns may precipitate out. If you are trying to treat hyposalinity than large jump could be stressfull to the tanks inhabitants. It is best to make your salt mix higher than normal, say you tank is at 1.020 and you want to achieve a 1.024 than you can mix it at 1.028 and instead of using freshwater for your topoffs you can use your mixed saltwater. This will raise it slowly to avoid stress on fish, corals, inverts, etc and you wont have any issues with beneficial chemicals precipitating out of the mixture.
When in doubt jsut remember we add salt to water not water to salt for a reason. Hope this helps

although very low, bringing it up to normal rnage would be a big adjustments to your little guys. How do they look everyone healthy and eating?

If that is the case I would just make a batch on SW at 1.028 or so and do a 10% WC with it and then keep adding it for my freshwater topoffs until it slowly comes back to where you want it.
