is this protein skimmer any good?

what do use think of it:



i see where u clip in onto the back of the aquarium however i dont understand why there is slots at the side of the skimmer? where exacly does the water come in and out?

Octopus Module 350 Internal

got it - its an internal skimmer - so it hangs on the back but on the inside of your tank

not ideal IMO - takes up space - get an external one if you want HOB

this one does hang on back , but on the inside of your tank and not the outside

I think you would be better off with a Hang on back that fits outside

HOB means Hang On Back of your tank

This protein skimmer is apparently custom built to work with their Octopus sumps. (If you click on Octopus Home Page on the right, you'll see the sumps). It could also work theoretically inside the tank itself but who wants a huge protein skimmer sitting inside their display tank?

 

hmmm, i am stuck atm as i only have around 30cm width from my walls to my tanks so the skimmer has to be no more then 30cm wide and most skimmers are alot bigger then this......what should i do? i dont want to spend to mutch on a skimmer maby $300-$400......any ideas?


i will go take some photos and show use what i mean by not having a great deal of room!

i just thought i could have the skimmer on the front of my tank on the side.,,,,,i will go take pics to explain...
