    Hi Guys,

I have something clear on one of my rocks. I don't know if it is an algae or just a film. Has anybody seen this before? Thanks!!!

Looks like possibly a bacterial film or some type of film algae, I wouldn't be concerned about it unless it starts covering everything. I've had something similar in my tank, some snails will either eat it or wipe it off if it's what I had.

I've seen it before, mostly when my tank was new. It would come and go for awhile. Nothing to big to worry about.

If it is still there when I do my next water change, should I take the rock out and scrub it? Thanks!!!

I don't think it'll hurt, but try sucking it out through a siphon at water change time & just keep an eye on it. If all else fails, scrub, scrub.:cheesy:
