Three things I've learned with aquariums, both fresh and SW:

1: Most fish love live food. If it's live and fits in its mouth, it's potential food.

2: A fish does not need to be a predator to eat another fish if it fits in its mouth.

3: "Peaceful toward tankmates" only applies as long as there are no tankmates that fit in its mouth.

    :)

Lol and oh so true. Was fish one weekend and a 6" bass swimming along with the boat as I was trolling. Then I seen another bass about 10" coming coming toward us from infront of the boat. They both just swimming along all lazy like. The biger one never speeded up or nothing. They met sort of face to face, the bigger one simple opened his mouth and swallowed the small one. He never broke stride, just kept swimming along.
