Honestly, I don't see it worth the risk just to save a few bucks.

^ +1 to above post. Home Depot sells and epoxy made by Oatley that is reefsafe. I believe it was on Incognitos list. ;)

Alright, thanks. I won't use it. When we go to Lowe's next I will try to remember to pick up one of the others that were recommended.

I like to be upfront about my specific usage scenario when contacting manufacturers. It's logical to think that some will say it's not safe based on liability factors, but 4 out of manufacturers I contacted said it was safe, so most seem willing to "tell the truth". Even though the one said it wasn't safe, there's 4 other easily obtainable brands that "are".

For me it's a real easy decision.... if I had 2 products in my hand and one was told by the manufacturers that one was safe and one wasn't.... guess which one I'm going with. A lot of things in this hobby are a calculated risk. There are some things we experiment on because we have no other means of "doing it". There is no need of taking a risk as far as epoxy is concerned, as there are confirmed safe alternate choices that are as easily accessible at the same price.

But that's just me.... we all have our own level of comfort with the risks we take.
