    I think...not positive but part f the heat issue is from the hailed producing infrared light which is basically heat waves towards the water. In which case some heat from halides is inevitable but pitting fans over the water helps though how big is your sump? A larger water volume will help and some water temp fluctuation wont be a bad thing. My temp was fluctuating between 78 to 81 with no ill effects I noticed. I wouldn't worry unless the temp started creeping passed 82 83.

    Oh i wouldn't be to worried about heat. You have like well over 100gallons and one halide. I didn't realize how big the tank was till now. I had a 400w over my 90 with a 20 sump and 20fuge and didn't have a heat issue and the light almost sat on the tank. Only other variable would be ambient temp. If it isn't anything crazy you should be good.

    It's really about what anemone you get. I got an aquacultured RBTA from a local guy who had them splitting like weeds in his tank under PowerCompact's with 60 ppm nitrates. After 2 years I've sold well over a dozen clones myself. They're under T5's now. MH's are probably overkill for most bubble tips.
