    im trying to learn about corals and such. i got this on my LR yesterday and i need to know what it is and what it needs so i can keep it :) any help would be great. thanks

    all look like shrooms to me Shecter

    2 x 20 watt T5 tubes? is that what you currently have on the tank they are in
    as light and a bit of flow is all they need to prosper IME

    they dont go walkabout if thats what you mean
    they can detach and go driftabout on occasions

    they dont need to be fed IME , just light and reasonable water quality and moderate flow , and they do very well IME

    Yup,light and mild flow,no other special care required,some types will divide and other types will drop babies,so with some luck,good water quality and time,you can end up with a few of them!Nice little freebie :)

    they are very aptly named IMO

    As under ideal condition they can propogate and increase in numbers
    so you dont have mush room for anything else
