Hey everyone, so I called the dude and Im going to go look at the tank, he did let me know that his heater like blew up and cracked the inside of the sump but its not bad and it still holds water (i'll probably fix it) and he let me know what when he got the tank and drilled it, it cracked up where the plumbing was, but he said that he had another glass layover re drilled and he never had any problems with it. he said he double layered it and its really sturdy and he said it shouldn't be a problem and its probably more sturdy than even before. But of course I will check it out as well.. BUT I want all your guys opinions. If I do buy the tank I will probably fix the sump crack for sure.

I would still go ahead and get it with the few problems it has...as long as it doesn't leak, it's still worth it. Nice to see you were able to lower the price.

Sweet im super excited, I will probably end up fixing the sump but it didn't sound like it was a big deal anyways. Im excited to start it up! The only thing I need to get for it is some sand, his tank crashed so the tossed it out :/ but thats not a big deal I don't want a deep sand bed at all so i'll just grab a few bags!

I don't know about this... I recently purchased a 55 from someone. Everything looked fine until I brought everything home. The tank brace cracked and the nova lighting fixture ballasts blew. My 250 dollar upgrade turned into a 900 dollar upgrade.

If you get it I think 30 lbs should be plenty of sand for this tank. I've got maybe 15-20 in my 29g for a 2" sandbed.

ah! well I hope that doesn't happen, the tank was only a year old.. I'll try to be as gentle with it as possible...

Thannks! that sounds about right, I'll get the sand tomorrow.. I hope the corals and fish he has are still alive, I have the feeling most the corals are going to die... but whatever.
