Ok I've called 4 glass places and the ones that have plexiglass all are saying that "plexi is acrylic" and "lexann is polycarbonate". So I'm confused because I thought plexi was the stuff that turns yellow and cracks.

I never actually heard Plexiglass called Acrylic. I know there is an acrylic resin that is different and there is one that is the same poly compound.

I'd try calling around to try and fnd a custom glass shop that deals in different materials. We have one locally that uses lexan to fabricate windows for race cars and they will practically give away the scrap. If it will hold up to a 200mph pass it should hold up for a sump. Even give any automotive fab shops a ring, they might have scraps or know someone who does.

Well I have some extra plexi laying around from when I made my sump deviders. I wasn't to sure how safe it would be to use it to make a overflow box. I just didn't want to come home to a in-door pond. If you know what I mean.

What i was hopeing is to replace the part of my overflow box that I bought. The inside 1/2 is clear but the 1/2 that is on the outside of the tank is white. When I ordered it the photo showed both parts clear, but when I got it, not the case. It's not a big dill or anything but I would have liked both parts to be clear. I guess I'll just make it with the plexi and do a really good leak test on it.

Where do you live. I had a place called Streamwood Plastics in Streamwood, IL to cut me a bunch of pieces to build some sump pieces years ago. It worked out great.

If you order from their online store and give them dimensions they will cut it for free. Up to 8 straight cuts. Thats what I did.
