Into a quarantine tank yes. I would not add them directly to my display for fear of disease or infection. Always isolate new specimens for observation and treatment or you could have a disaster on your hands. Its tough to treat a display tank with medications.

Hmmm Bizarre question, as from what i believe you dont even have any water in your tank yet let alone the salt.

Once you have the water in and at the correct salinity, you really shouldnt add any fish for at least a month.

The answer is no it is not, if by safe you mean good. The proper way of introducing a new fish would be to have a QT or hospital tank setup. Then you would drip acclimate not scoop water. drip acclimation is the best way because differeces between the bag water and you tank water can be drastic. you want the change to happen slowly as to not shock or stress the fish. using a siphon hose i kink the end so when tanking water from the DT out with the siphon i put the other end into the bag or pale you want to acclimate in. Now that water is flowing you kink the end or knot it so it just drips out at a rate that the drops can be counted or you can see the individual drops. do this for a hour or more even. then indroduce to QT. if you go strait to you DT you risk bringing in a disease or bacteria that could infect other inhabitants and cause you a huge headache! You can't treat most disease in the DT so you want to catch it in you hospital tank before it can get into you DT.

    hope this helps

yeah really floating is just matching the temp in your tank to the water in the bag.....if your a 5 min drive then float it for 10 mins thats what i do
