Ok, Lately my tank has just been really down. One of my clownfish died a few days ago and now I'm noticing that my other fish have like a white powery look parts of its skin, they also look very stressed, off color and some fins are started to become raggy. Is this marine velvet? WHAT DO I DO

if its marine Velvet there is nothing much you can do at this point. You could try to take your fish out and QT them and treat them with copper.

How long was your clown sick before it died? ( when its velvet it usually takes 2-3 days )

velvet has the same signs that Crypto has but it kills faster and if im right the spots should be a little bigger?

i rember reading on a copper treatment i used once to be good for velvet.. so thats an option.

sounds like at least to start put the survivors in the qt tank and no marine velvet they would all be dead with in about 24hrs of it showing. Talking from personal experience velvet hits hard and fast. It is not a slow killer at all. i would say sounds like a back case of ich which is very treatable.

Well all the fish have been scratching against the rocks for a very long time now, sometimes they go crazy scratching themselves of everything (even the glass). But i'v had ICH before and it was a nightmare! D:

Another thing I forgot to mention is that my crabs are acting odd and there out about in the tank in the middle of the day (which they never used to do) they also look a little pale.

ich and velvet won't attack your inverts. personally to me it sounds you have a very bad case of ich and also your parms are out of whack causing undo stress in the tank. So my advice is to QT the fish and treat with copper and my personal ich killer rid-ich and then also test your tank levels and let us know.

I agree.. Check your water parameters and see if anything else is going on. Inverts wont get infected by Crypto or velvet.
It sounds to me like it could be Crypto. At this point of time I would probably go with the QT and copper treatment, then leave your tank fallow for 6-8 weeks before adding anything else.

I would normally suggest to let the fish be and feed properly with vitamins and garlic but if it is that bad then it might be better for you to QT your fish and use the treatment.
