Has anyone ever seen this before? It's only on him. It's on his right side on his fin and on his body right where his fin touches his body. Is it safe for the others to be with him? Should I "Fresh Dip" him? I don't have a QT.[IMG]

It's really really hard to tell what we're supposed to be looking at?

This fish is fast, I cannot get a good picture of the spot. I put a red circle around the sore. We FINALLY brought the tank back from the brink of death because of the live rock we added awhile ago. Everyone's healthy now except our Bi-colored Angel has a white-ish lumpy area & a little bit of it on his fin that touches the spot on his body behind the fin. I hope these pictures help. Thanks!

It looks to me like some type of cottony growth or fungus. It's very likely that it will spread to the others. I don't think FW dip would do the trick. You should try to get him separated from the others. It may have also spread to the other inhabitants.
Does anyone know how to treat this without affecting the corals or inverts?

Looks like a fungus to me as well - Although I was under the assumption that it was almost impossible to have fungus growth in a marine environment but I could be wrong

I agree to get his out of that tank for now.. I'd pickup a 10-20gal as a QT ASAP... Don't know how big your tank is now, but even in my 29 I'd hate for that to spread..

Not true at all. Though it's rare, it can happen. My 150G tank has been overrun with this gray bacterial fungus for a year now and has kept me from being able to put any livestock in it at all. It even wiped out my cleanup crew. :(

we have a 125g sw tank. If I can catch him tomorrow how can I keep him alive until we get to the lfs? We have plastic bags from the store, can I fill it with some of our tank water with him in the bag & return him? Will he live through that, I'm not taking anymore chances with sick fish, they're coming out, but I want him to live too.

Great idea... How long would it take you to get to the LFS? Try to capture more air than water in the bag. Keep the bag out of the sun and try to reduce vibrations. If the LFS is more than 2 hrs away, I'd suggest that you head down there first to purchase a battery powered air pump and then carry the fish back to the LFS in a bucket with the air pump. This way, you can take ur time to get there without having to worry about the fish running out of oxygen.

Did you just get him? A clean tupperware container will work too. Leave some room for air..
