is an mp10 enough?

I would get an MP20, as they're upgradeable to an MP40, have more modes, and have the wireless connectivity too.

 

Exactly, if your spending the money, mine as well spend a little extra to a more powerful pump.

But the MP20 can be upgraded to an MP40(!) at any time. If you want to upgrade an MP20, you buy a controller unit ($149). If you want to upgrade an MP10 to a MP40, you buy a whole new system ($450). I mean, to me, that's an insane upgrade, in that the upgrade from an MP20 to an MP40 costs only as much as the MP40 itself (pump + new controller), not more.

In a hobby that's brimming with near-zombied minds going "must go bigger", it's pretty unreal what kind of a deal that is.

 

Hmm. I would consider an MP10 mainly because of it's price.... $195 with the old driver. With the ESW driver it's like $15 less then an MP20- which in that case I'd just get the mp20...

I'm on tapatalk right now so I can't go back and look for the members name that posted the MP10 review and how it's got a few hundred more gph than ecotech says. It was a good read, thanks for posting.

 

i ordered an mp20 today, i decided that because of the ability to upgrade in case i get a bigger tank and the extra flow in case i was SPS made it worth it to me plllllus i got a nice discount.
