No, there's not enough sand in a small tank for one to feed in.

These can easily be done in any size tank as long as you keep them well fed.

It should be easy to maintain in your tank, but keep in mind that their sting will kill most other corals. when it grows out it may just take over your whole tank.

About the same as a torch but with a lesser sting. I would go with this one instead.

They get pretty large and aggressive. I would steer clear of this one.

This would be an awesome addition.

It may be possible, but you might have problems getting enough flow and light to it. What kind of lighting do you have?

    Perfect for the nano tank.

Possible as long as you don't plan on any other shrimp in the future.

A small brittle star would be the best way for you to go. There are not many starfish that have a good survival rate in captivity and having a small tank narrows this field even more.

I wouldn't try it. Fire shrimp can be a bit aggressive, and are also known to eat coral on occasion.

I think you would be better off if you keep it to one shrimp in that small of a tank.

The only stars that have good survival rates are the brittle and serpent stars. The rest have eating habits that are pretty much unknown, so they slowly starve.

Mine eat nearly anything meaty that I put in the tank. I put some mysis near them and they'll eat it, or they'll eat the bigger bits of H2OLife "Fish and Reef #1" that end up near them.

your clean up crew in a lot of cases... I would steer clear of stars in this tank.

I wouldn't even get one in anything less than 100 gallons personally, but definitely not in an 8 gal.

    Mike is giving great advise.
