I just found this sweet little piece of equipment:

Current USA SubCurrent Internal Filter w/ Pump

I could see this working on some awesome applications like: anemone or seahorse tanks. At that price who could argue with it. I'm thinking about putting one on my future anemone tank build.

I bet that would work great on a quarentine tank too, I may have to get one for my 20L

Like the surface skimming idea behind it, only problem I can see is that fish poop in the water tends to sink not float, therefore it wouldn't get sucked up by the surface enterance to the filter in the first place. Nice idea though. You could put some good chemical media in there like purigen to good effect or just use the carbon it come with.

It definitely looks like a potentially handy little piece of equipment - if you do give it a whirl, be sure to give it a quick review.
