I just bought a 215 oceanic glass tank this week (used), and I notice on the front (inside) there are a few surface scratches on the glass. I was hoping because they were surface scratches maybe they could be buffed. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to do.

This can be hard - I had looked into this a while back, and its no easy task. Home Depot has buffering materials that can remove scratches - but the chemicals/substances are less than desirable to have in your tank. You also create a weak spot because in essence, you are thinning that section of glass.. Unless its a really bad scratch - I would leave it.. Sorry man.

I agree, scratches in glass are difficult to deal with. You might be able to fill in the scratches with superglue and buff that out a bit, but other than that, I wouldn't mess with it. I had some scratches in mine from the algae magnetic cleaner and the sand scratching the glass. I jsut ignore it. If the scratches are bad enough, just make the scratches the back of the tank so you don't have to look at them.
