inconsistant pump

    I have seen that video, I don't have an overflow like that, I have a overflow that runs across the whole back of the tank, with dual outputs.

    yes i had to search utube for it. it really works.
    so you do 2 than :)

    i dont have an over flow like that either, but i used the same theory, and adapted it to my overflow. i had to tie the air line to a plastic piece...which is a long handled spoon from the icecream shop :) spoon cut off ....that spans the drain hole, airline drops into the drain hole. ever since no gurgle no matter where i set the pumps flow. same theory just tweaked to work for my set up.

    I could try that if it does it again.. although it was only dong it because it didn't have enough water.! It seems to be okay today but thanks everyone for the help!

    it might start back up after you put your hands in the water. mine did this it was an on and off thing, it drove me nuts! i tried other ways and this way seems to have solved the problem.
    i hope your problem is solved. it is such an annoying sound.
