Well I've been in the midst of a slow going 210g build.my build buddy aka my dad is dragging his feet" what's the rush there's always tomorrow" usually I agree except we started the buil nov. Of last yr.

Well I've been going hard on the build the last month.my gf decided she wanted a week vacation so I agree thinking a month was enough time for my build buddy to finish up afew of his tidbits and if not the week before we left id get it done along with w/c and media changes.well we leave 6 am and I was blessed with food poisoning mon and im still mostly bed ridden.im in no shape for the changes let alone building anything.

I've musterd up enough energy to make food for my mantis shrimps and fish im hoping everything goes well:/.

    Any advice?

with the use of wise words I have read around here before 'Go slow and let it grow'.

Getting a tank built/set up will be crucial to your success its not like you can pick it up and move it once you get a 210 filled. Do it right the first time. I know it can be hard and frustrating.... I went 6 months with having my tank empty & in place before even making a drop of saltwater.

That kind of leads me to my next point. A fish tank is a hobby, family and health is not. Take care of yourself, your relationship, and family first as those are what matters in the long run. You can have a tank today and see it wiped out tomorrow, but your family and family commitments are still there. Its hard to see and appreciate that but as life goes on in years you'll see what I mean.

Short term though it sounds like you alreayd have things thought out. You got fish food, do you have extra RODI water for water changes, maybe some extra SW in case of an emergency? Does whoever is watching you tank know how to feed or what to do with equipment, skimmer cleaning (?), etc? Take some time enjoy your vacation, everything will be fine, hell a little bit of time might be all you need to get relaxed & come back on track hit the build hard & get it done!

Don't eat anything uncooked or drink the water when traveling to other countries or 3rd world parts of this one.

    This includes salads.

Well I should mention the 210 is a collaboration of sevral well established tanks frm 1 year to 2.5 along with some rock of unknown age from cl.I suppose im just paranoid about going away with out things at their best.

My parents are watching everything .I showed them what to do before and I can call wherever I have wifi I hope lol ( voip app for android). Ill be in costa Rica so ill be to far to do anything other then call/ email.

I have 50 gallons of se made and 2 pails of to water if they need more my setup pumps it out pretty fast about a gallon every 7 min this time of yr.
