    That is strange a year is more than enough time to make the couple. Least my perculas were pretty speedy at it

    I thought so too swiss - hmm....maybe they are just late bloomers lol I looked in this morning (with lights off) and both were in the nem :)

    Not sure about this but i think i read somewhere that the presence of an anemone home will promote the sex development

    I do notice one is definitely trying to hog the anemone and getting kind of aggressive about it - maybe a potential female?? I feel bad for my new little flamehawk - for some reason the clowns have been quite aggressive toward him - I'm hoping the discovery of the nem will help distract them from chasing the new guy.

    The dominate clown completes the transition to female rather quickly, within a couple months at most. You are already in possession of a female and male, but the female takes roughly 2 years to reach maturity with regard to spawning behaviors. The male is capable at 6 months. Point is you already have a pair, just not a spawning pair.
