Definitely not a bad price on them. as far as heat transfer I should be fine because where the tank sits it stays really cool all the time right at 76 degrees. all the rest of the equipment is in the closet with ac running everyday and the doors closed. Two bulbs should be fine on a 120 gallon all glass right? Need to forward that link to my wife so that I don't end up with a pair of socks, will check out hellolights for the vho's

How deep is your tank chetrod? My 120 gal is 24" deep and thats why i bought 250W MH. Over 18 - 20" deep tanks they recommend 250W.

175W is border line on a 20" deep tank IMO. But if your going to add VHO on there to it might do the job. Im not going to start another watts per gallon discussion theres plenty of that in other threads. So go with what you feel is good for you and what you can afford.

Yes I read that thread that was a long one. I want to do two 60" vho bulbs with the mh in between. That should be cool with one actinic and one 50/50 bulb. then I would have to build some fans in there to keep it all cool. I am trying to get all the equipment before I start stocking it back up with live rock and fish.
