i need some ideas on how to set up an auto top off system that can be controlled by my ac3. i store my ro/di water in a 32 gal. trash can, so gravity feed and float valve is not an option. what parts and how, can i use a pump of some kind to be controlled and monitored by my ac3?
    thanks, brian

so do you want the auto top off to use the water from the 32 gallon trash can or are you gonna put a container close to your sump? Either way you can make one fairly easily.

I kinda did the same thing with mine. But there are alot of nice systems for sale. My homemade one has worked well and no problems. However, a little peace of mind is nice when it comes to ato's. I used two switches on mine so hopefully they won't both fail. I also only keep about 5 gallons in my reservoir so if it were to fail, it would not overflow my sump.

You can use an aqualifter on a timer using the OSC command somehow, you have to figure out how much exactly you need to topoff every day and how long it takes the aqualifter to pump that much, and you have to adjust it for the seasons probably depending how much you evaporate at different times of the year. I just use a tunze osmolator so I don't know the details, just trying to throw out some ideas for ya. :)
