Ich powder blue

I was just reading and i see that if i put some cleaner shrimp it may help to eat the parasites inside my tank, what do you guys think about it. And should i turn off my skimmer when putting in the ICH.ATTACK medicine.

 

dont put in ich attack if you have a reef tank, my powder blue whihc i have had for a long time gets it periodically and is fine, the cleaner shrimp contrary to popular believe only rids the fish of its outward bleamishes and not the whole parisite its self, thus it will still have ich, but it just looks better.

 

but still it wont make any bad things, instead at least it will try to help in something dont you think. Or what do you think on getting the cleaner shrimps.

 

I dont know if they eat ich or not. I have heard they help. If nothing else it will help your tang feel better which will help it fight off the infection.

 

yeah i would get them any ways, becuase they do relieve it of stress from having a clean exterior, and the less stress the have the healthier they can be to fight off the parisite.

 

I recommend a skunk cleaner shrimp. Mine cleaned the ick off our blue tang. All tanks can benefit from having a cleaner shrimp, unless you have fish that like to eat shrimp.

 

+1 I have 3 skunk cleaners in my 90 as well as 2 peppermints I wouldn't own a scaleless fish without at least 1 skunk cleaner and having multiples is pretty cool to the socialism of shrimp is pretty cool to watch

 

Thats odd, my shrimp seem to be more anti-authoritarian. Shrimps and their politics... ;D
