I noticed this morning that my yellow tang has a big white mark on her side, theres only one and it looks more like a bald spot. I dont have any aggressive fish in the tank, just two clowns and 2 chromis. She seems happy and her breathing is fine but if it is ich I want to get her out as soon as possible. I dont have a quarintine tank, but i will set one up if i need to. What do you guys think??

Sorry the pics are fuzzy, shes a fast swimmer and it was a cell phone pic.

Definitely not Ich.Could be an abrasion from bumping into a rock.Would not surprise me in a small tank.

Vinny is right on. Ich looks like a bunch of pinpoint sized dots. Do you have any corals/anemones? It looks like a sting to me, but it's tough to tell for sure.

In a small tank with a large fish it is inevitable that the tang will bump into things. Long term contact with an anemone is not good.

It will more than likely heal over, but Vinny is right in that in a tank that size future "encounters" are likely with a fish that size.

    What type of anemone?
