Ich Attack, Formalin 3

Great tank marlinman. Tanks like yours are why I am so motivated to have one. Yes unfortunately there are a lot of different opinions which is why i am so confused... I have red countless places that cleaner shrimp do clean off a lot of different parasites but unfortunately ich is not one of them... correct me if im wrong. I am still undecided whether or not to quarantine for 6 weeks or use some sort of medication but either way i want it gone!

I can't reiterate any more strongly than I previously wrote. Try the Kick-Ich it works! And yes the cleaner shrimp eat ich and any parasite on the fish. My angels and tangs go to the cleaning station at will.

 

Not to say it doesn't work, but my tanks ich cleared up in a couple of days too, and I used nothing. Just kept them eating. So how do you know if it was the Kick Ich, or the fish's immune systems? I for one do not like adding chemicals to my tank. So I went the natural route. I think this helps this fish. They fight it off on there own, then they don't catch it again.

 

I'm not saying that it can't work naturally. I was worried because I have an expensive array of fish. The owner of my LFS was adament about the product and he was right. I figured for the $30 or so it was worth the try. I have a lot of fish stores living here in South Florida and I've been doing this for over 20 years and there are certain people that I trust for their judgement. It's all just an opinion which is what this forum is all about.
