    Ok I will be going to my lfs today. The heater is below the water level already. I actually don't have a sump yet. Still working on making one.

    unforunately, jbb, petco isn't as invested in small towns as cheep ol' mcdonalds. Also, there would be no way to check salt levels by taste, aside from knowing, one might be stuer than the other. The diffeeencw b/w 1.023 or 4 and 1.025 are very minute.

    Tank water will never have the same taste as freshly mixed water, even at the same salinity. There's more in, and living in, the tank water.
