You could always add a different light.

I thought of that but kinda defeats the purpose of this build. It'll be alright the way it is. I've been looking into artificial grasses and corals and Walt Smith has some pretty cool stuff. Not the same I know but this wasn't really planned and more of an impulse buy at best. LOL.
I've been toying with the idea of keeping (or trying too) a herd of Zost's and actually this ten gallon and some fake hitches would be a perfect set up.:)

That is where I grew up as a kid! I remember watching Adam Vinitieri at SDSU! Go Jackrabbits, haha.

That's lame!! They should sell a light that can do something! If I picked that up at the store I would think that I could grow freshwater plants with it, I wouldn't even give that a second thought - since it's supposed to be a kit.

Yep. I'd take it back if I could get a refund but don't think PetCo. will since it was a promo item + I threw 90% of the packing away and gave the hang on filter to a friends kid.
I'm just going to do an artificial grass flat with a little DIY rock and a few fake gorgs for hitches. And get about 16 dwarf ponies to put in there. It'll be easy enough to keep if you leave out the hatching brineshrimp daily part. LOL Fortunately I have the space to set up multiple hatchery's and the time to feed 3x's per day. It'll be neat looking once its done but it has moved so back on the list it's not even on the stove anymore.

LOL I grew up in WY. Met my wife while competing on the rodeo team in '87. Was a UW student at the time. I'd travel back and forth from Laramie WY every other weekend to see her and she'd do the same for me on the opposite weekends. Plan (mine anyway) was to move her there when we married..lol yeah. Married in the gardens in '88, a u haul towing a horse trailer was loaded and headed east a week later. I have managed to at least distance us 115 miles from the in-laws tho. LOL

Yes I know the difficulties with dwarf's. But I have the space and time to do the feedings so why not give it a try. ORA had a line of mysis trained dwarf's but has discontinued them. I could always cram a pair of kuda's in there, they'd only be shorted 5 gallons of living comfortably. But no that wouldn't be fair to the animals.
I wouldn't look for pics anytime soon but I'll be sure to post them all in the chronicle when this project gets rolling.;D
