    I seen the same tank at my local petco 2 days ago and really thought about the LED's,I picked it up and checked it over and then remembered that I would get beaten when my wife found out!;DSo i put it back down(i just went in for filter refills)

    LMAO! I hear ya! But I've been married for so long that after about 5 minutes of steady complaining she begins to sound like Charlie Browns teacher. Wahwahwawa wawa wawa waWah;D Just don't EVER get caught pointing the remote at em in an attempt to make the mute function work..it doesn't go over so well LOLLOL

    Update:

    Well I finally got ahold of customer service at Tetra after being on hold for a total of over an hour during 3 seperate calls and the news was very disheartening at best. Looks like this little tank will be a FOWLR.
    The LED's they use are rated in the 4500-5000k range and 60 something hertz. I pretty much stopped paying attention when the rep said that the light is comparable to incandescent bulbs and not even suited for freshwater plants. Man what a bummer. [​IMG]
