So last night I noticed my corals not looking to hot and the fish were hugging each other. Saw that the temp. had dropped to 74* in the tank and further inspection revealed not 1 but both of my heaters had failed. But I'm a equipment hording w@*%$e so I had an extra 100watt stashed to bring the temp back up and hold it until I could make the trip to Sioux Falls and replace at least the 200watt. I got up early at noon and headed straight for PetCo. (my mom&pop LFS apparently feel there merchandise is cast from 24k gold and studded in diamonds) with the intention of a heater purchase only....yeah right.;D
I swear it had to be Fate's hand because only yesterday I commented on Steve's nano had decided I too am going to build one. But that plan was one of many and on the farthest back burner. Until I walked in the store and saw this on sale for $52+tax....

and here it is with the equipment unpacked. I didn't want to take the tank out because you know how it is getting that stuff back in the box...

The LED's say 24watt and that's it. I haven't done much reading on LED's yet so I have no clue the amount of useable light is being emitted from a 1watt LED.
This will all go back into the box until I decide..
Nano Reef? (dependant on the lighting capabilities)
    FOWLR?
    Macro tank/pony corral?
When the decision is made I'll start a chronicle;D

Very nice find!! I wouldn't have been able to resist that either. Now I want a nano!! Lol That's so cool that it came with that LED light too. Can't wait to see you building this thing!! When are you gonna start?

Also, I really like how you said noon was early. :) We have something in common!

LOL Ever since life started popping up I don't get to bed til after 2am most night. Better viewing after lights out alot of the time;D
I won't start building til I decide what I'm building it to be..at least a month..yeah right prolly start writing bad checks tomorrow LOL JJ

Thank Matt! I couldn't believe it when I saw that it was marked down from $109 to $52! It's built from tempered so no drilling. If I go LPS/soft reef guess I'll have to build a small overflow box and get a Korilia Nano or two.

Thank you but really don't be jealous..I'll be hearing about it for a few days;D

Ugh..literally hours of searching and I can't find out what brand of LED this company uses or any info on the spectrum etc. or any reviews on the kit itself. Is it that new of a product? The deal was promotional but dang!:(

It seems like it should say somewhere in the paperwork.... but then again, that would be too easy!
