I think I screwed up big time!

    I don't really acclimate my livestock either. 15 minute float then in they go. I don't like mixing water. To many unforeseen variables and possible reactions between when mixing the water in the bag and your tank water.

    I use the drip method. Dump critters in a bucket.... Piece of airline...get the flow started....tie a knot in it so it will drip very slow the first 15 minutes...then gradually increase flow for about 2 hours a few drops at a time. When the bucket starts getting fuller (not totally full, a few extra inches)...dump in sink and add more from the tank...drip more and dump in sink again...then top off tank with fresh water. Takes me about 3 to 4 hours to acclimate but haven't lost one since I stopped listening to Pop-N-Drop guy.

    Personally, I hate that method the most. To each his own.

    I hate that it takes so long but my fish have a very good survival rate in fact I don't think I've lost any due to acclimation and they seem to adapt better.

    I like some of the other ways better too but this one works best for me.

    If your worried about wasting 60 bucks your in the wrong hobbie!!!;D jk. Ive wasted a hole lot more then that learning.

    Ya I know but I need to save every penny just for my mistakes. And yes every one I usually do all the research but this is the time I could not do it
