    S*********IT!!!!

I just got a new crocea clam, and I set it down for about 15 min after acclimating it. I wanted to move it over a few inches so I picked it up, and felt a slight snap, well it looks as though I pulled its foot free from the shell.. Is it going to die.. please let me know..

I can't say for sure, but from what I've read I have not heard of good things coming to clams missing their foot.

Sorry to hear about the troubles man :(

Can you take a pic of what was left behind? Was it kind of a whitish fleshy piece?

That does not look so good. If any is still attached it may live or heal, but I suspect that it may eventually die.

Sorry to hear about your new clam. I would talk to them and see if they are willing to help you out at all. If you have some phyto you may want to spot feed it a little.

I spot fed it, and It opened and closed a few times during the feeding(hopefully a good sign).. theres not much else i can do but talk to them at the store. I mean I have easily spent over a grand in the place and this would be my first upset, so maybe something good will come of this..

From everything I have read though, there is about 5% chance of survival..:cry::cry:
