Well today i noticed that i had some Aptasia growing so i try to kill them with no signs of death. So i decided well bleach should kill it, So i put a half gallon of bleach in my tank. To my suprise it killed the aptasia and my zoas are green now instead of brown. My toadstool also went from brown to green and my flower pot coral changed some different colors also. Only lost one fish and it was my yellow tailed damsel. Was this a bad thing????

    please say you're joking

yeah chlorine in a live tank is really bad, kills all the bacteria in the sand and rock and will likely kill all your livestock as well

LOL... This is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time! Why would you poor bleach into the tank? I've always feared of my brothers doings some dumb-ass thing like this just to get even with me. I would have never of poured bleach into my tank. It's a certain death sentence for every habitant inside the tank.

really? like sriously? No, no that's not right. not to be mean but what the bajibis were you thinking? When I first got my tank I cleaned it well with bleach and water. I rinsed it 10 times with water and I was still worried that there were trace amounts in it. So when I filled it with water I let everything filter for a long long while. Take everything out of your tank and set ANOTHER tank up and stick your stuff in there. Don't let it cycle first, just put what you have into the tank and pray.

I usually use my AR-15 for aiptasia. It depends on the size of them, I either go semi-auto or full .

I usually save the good ammo for the bigger problems like fire worms

Yea well getting rid of aiptasia can be a tricky business ' I forgo using any of my firearms . ( ive tried it and to much "splash back" with water )
And the other time i tried shooting the aiptasia with my 338 win mag but the recoil of it knocked back into the MH system and took out 2 bulbs.
( so basicly one aiptasia was like worth 180.00 by the time i was done )

I use a ball-peen hammer now ( it's the best way really ) Ya ease the hammer in the tank and Pop'em with the hammer real hard.
much more relaible i think and the corals are less shocked than useing firearms.

lol funny.your no more likely to use bleach in your tank than you would let missionsix66 use his fine looking sks with folding stock and 30 round magazine on it.with the springfrild 1991a1 45 as back up.you got my attention though lol.
