I am going to be building a new stand and canopy for my 125 gallon tank soon with the help of my Grandpa because right now there are some supporting beams under the stand that allow me to only have a sump with a length of no longer than 29 inches...which is not very large.

I would like to build a stand that can hold the 125 Gallon tank and have enough room to put at least a standard 55 gallon tank underneath for a sump, but I probably will want a 75 or 90 to increase water volume, buffering potential, and put a larger skimmer in.

With all of this in mind, does anyone have some stand and canopy plans that could be adapted to my 125? It is 60 in long, 18 1/4 in wide, and 26 in tall. I thank everyone for their help and contributions.

Go to garf.org they have some plans there or google DIY plans. You should get some good ideas. I t gave me some for when I build the stand for my 75 build.

Do you have any pics of your stand and canopy I could see as a reference?
