A couple weeks ago I noticed a white stringy thing on my wrasse's eyeball. Someone suggested it may be flukes, which is the closest sounding thing to what appears to be on his eye. However, he is acting 100%, very active, eating etc. The thing is still on his eye, but hasn't moved, I haven't seen any more on him or in the tank.....

So, I guess what I'm asking is if I should treat the tank for flukes or not? I would rather not put in any unnecessary chemicals...but I don't know if my wrasse has flukes or not.

    Any ideas?!

The less chemicals in the tank the better IMO. But you may want to incase they are still in the water coloum

I would give it time and see if it gets worse or heals on its own before I would treat. My fish get strange things on them at times, and usually thet go away on their own. As long as he is eating and acting ok.

Okay, this is the worst drawing possibly ever, but the purple thing is the white thing on Rex's eyeball. It's curved on his eye just like that. double click to blow it up.
