I love this filter on my reef!

Ok, so a lot of you know I was getting my Rena XP2 well it arrived today 2 days early! This filter is extremely quiet I wonder sometimes if it is running but the huge blast of water coming out of the jet nozzle tells me it is. My tank has never looked clearer. This is my second source of filtration the first being my Aquamaxx HOB skimmer which is beyond amazing.

I noticed negative reviews on Rena but the majority of them are user error. If it is set up correctly it is silent, runs efficiently, output is insane as long as you do proper filter changes, and the price you just can't beat it.

My only gripe is their flow system states 300 GPH but i'm getting more like 160 which is more than enough for my 46 gallon bow front but I think if you were going for anything larger than a 55 gallon you should go with the XP3 or XP4.

P.S. this is coming from me switching from a penn plax cascade which was awful! No flow, it was silently but it was only pushing like 68 GPH. Stick with a Rena Filstar if your on a budget.
