Well, as skeptical as I am, I remember reading and responding to your other thread and you don't seem willing to listen to reason. Personally I very highly doubt you are cycled, you never saw any spikes, it all tested zero from the beginning. That doesn't happen, it's not cycled, but you will do as you wish and so I wish you luck. At the very least, add your livestock slowly, and add only hardy fish. Seriously, 1 fish every 3 weeks maybe. Good luck!

I suggest adding all your rock now if you can, otherwise, adding little amounts here and there should not give you a cycle so long as it is "cured". I just added 11Lbs to my tank that has been up since september. I know this is all exciting and it is almost damn near difficult to stare at an empty tank, but I really beleive that your tank has not completed it's cycle. So as mentioned before, add very slow, which is where your "dream" list of fish comes in. If you know what you want, then you know how to add it. Like don't add a fish that ideally should be added last...ect. Trust me when I say that patience will pay off in a big way in the long run.

Yea, believe me I'm not trying to be condescending. I rushed things when I first started, too. Hell, I had not one, but TWO tangs (one yellow and one purple (and purple tangs are f*ing EXPENSIVE)) in a tiny 29 gallon tank!!! Mistakes will be made, but I didn't have this resource when starting out.

I just don't want your wallet and bank account to suffer because you want to jump the gun here. I have seen post after post of people (who have done this for YEARS, like me) telling you your cycle isn't over, but still you insist it is...my advice; wait at least 3 more weeks.

Oh and Kimmy, his tank isn't empty. He added a clown and two damsels 3 days into it....

Hey Guys, thanks for the tip. Brandon my tank did go through a spike the minute I added the LR. In my excitement I had already put in a clown and the poor guy somehow survived. The spike lasted around 6 days and for some reason, everything settled thereon. It is still the same.
I would like to know if filteration has an impact on how fast your tank cycles? My tank is 90g, LR - 180lbs, two canister filters and three internal filters, three powerheads and one Skimmer.
It surprises me too that the cycle got over soon specially when I was expecting what everyone here is saying. So I too want to be very sure hence this question on filteration.
I'm trying to relate it to something I guess!

Congrats on your cycled tank and a GREAT choice on size too;D. I personaly dont use any type of filteration while cycling, IMO, it prolongs the cycling process. I agree with Brandon, wait just in case, remember this hobby is not cheap nor does it forgive ignorance. I wish you the best of luck. Luna

Wow, that's pretty quick! Mine took close to 3 months to cycle (mind you I added more live rock about a month and a half in to start a mini cycle) ... congrats, as someone mentioned above, must've been some great LR.

    Pics pic pics!

Surely not cycled... but have at it, it's your tank. Wouldn't hurt to wait a couple extra weeks and watch parameters, to make sure there will be no more spikes, if you have the patience. Do you have all your hardware? I am working on mine while my tank cycles... tests aren't bad and a lot of people would say to start dumping stuff in there but i'll wait... got better things to do than waist time & money

It doesn't surprise me that the clown survived, it's basically a damsel. Aside from that, what exactly are the other 2 filters internally? I understand the canister, why you have it is beyond me, but not my main concern. My concern is that if you start dumping fish in, cheap or expensive, you can basically be flushing $$ down the drain cause your system just wn't be mature enough to handle the bioload. On that note, if you want to give away money, PM me and I'll give you my address.

If you have 180 pounds of live rock in the a 90 gallon, (your sig) and the live rock was cured and had the beneficial bacteria in it. Then this would explain why you have had minimal spikes and the fish did not die. This is a good amount of rock and will provide you with ample filtration along with a good skimmer and possible refugium.
And not to sound like a broken record ... I would still go slow with adding any more fish :)

    Enjoy,

    Jim

I think that Diver hit it. and also i think your filters (GAC/ whatever else) may have absorbed all organic compounds in water and STOPPED the cycle. When i cycled tank was at standstill with rotting fish in it. haven't had any problems yet.
