    Drilled holes plug and fail.
For a new reefer I would not recommend anything that is going to require maintenance and cleaning or something that has a high likelyhood of failure. Too many things to keep track of and forget and a failure in the early years often drives people out of the hobby when they get discouraged.

Raise the returns so you have an air gap with a small backflow and forget about them. No maintenance, no worry and you can sleep soundly at night. If you use the LocLine do not make it so long you can dip it into the tank very far under the surface or you are back to square one. Keep the returns close to the surface and they cannot fail.

Took your advice, return is fine now. My next problem is I have a few drip leaks, using pvc cement is a pita when one of the fittings leak. You gotta start from square one wish me luck!
