So I just turn the lights on, they been off for like the last two hours, so I turned the lights on to look for my leopard install disc. I looked in the tank, (turned the lights on for a second) and I noticed some white specs on back of the tank. So I looked closer and I saw these things running around. I just looked them up online, and I think it's a sea cockroach.

Is that good or bad? It's like 50 of them. I only noticed them on in one spot tho. What's going on?

    how about Amphipods?

They're great to have. My tank has some that are about 1/2" long and they really look shockingly large for something that stays so well hidden during the day.

I'd suspect gram for gram amphipods make up the bulk of my biomass in the tank.

Yeah. My amphipods are definitely running the place at night. Some are so large, if it's hidden behind a polyp, I can see the antennae waving. They hate the light.

At night, the tank takes on a completely different personality.
