OK, I have a leak in the upper front corner of the tank. It is coming from underneath the rim. In the picture below, you will see two places on either side of the corner where the silicone has been eaten away. I am presuming that this is where the problem is (99%). I can see where the silicone of one side of the corner is not looking smooth, but channelled and bubbled. When I drained the tank (10g) down past this 'mark', the leak stopped.

So there is the problem (or in the land of corporate bigwigs "opportunity"). I have two courses of action here as far as I can see.

    1.) I can get a new one. $150
    2.) I can try to re-silicone it.

In the meantime, I am going to keep the flow going and move my heater to the main tank from the sump. If I need to, I can rig the skimmer, but I just did a 30% water change yesterday so I think I can probably get away without it for the time being. I'll just dose with Prime.

So guys and dolls.......what do you think?

buying a bigger tank is always a good option lol. seriously i think if you have the money i would buy a new one it would be better for the inhabitants to get them in a set up tank faster(if you try to fix it you would have to wait atleast 24 hours thats if it works the first try). then after you have the new one up and running you should try fixing the old one. you can sell it or use as a sump or just setup a second tank lol

all this is assuming you would have to completely drain the tank

I think that you should try to seal it up . sound like its going to be just the top of the tank so you dont need to drain the whole thing and it will only take a couple of days to fix and you can just set your tank to run with a power head and air stone till all is set to replenish the water.

How far do I have to drain it down? I am presuming that i should cut the old silicone about an inch or two below the leak and go up from there.

Do you have a leak or a "salt creep" leak?

What is a salt creep leak dude? This is actually dripping from the top corner. Not a lot, but enough so that when I got under the stand, I could see wet wood. That's what clued me in.
